When I was a lot more into noise I used to record a lot of CDs onto cassette (pre-CD burner days) with the recording level cranked up to the max. It was mostly noise and/or industrial sounding (Skinny Puppy, Dive, Pornography-era Cure, etc) stuff but for whatever reason at the time it wasn't noisy enough for me, I wanted all the sounds to clip as much as possible. My tastes have since lightened up and now I kind of look back and laugh... :-) m.mercer :: design + sound design :: http://www.matthewmercer.com/ sound :: http://www.mattmercer.com/
